Overview

The Dana Spicer ReadyShaft Commercial Driveshaft is a preassembled replacement driveshaft supplied through Dana’s ReadyShaft quick-ship program. The program is designed to reduce commercial-vehicle downtime by making frequently used driveshaft assemblies easier to identify, order, and obtain.

ReadyShaft is not one universal driveshaft design. It is a replacement-parts program covering many popular commercial driveshaft series used in original-equipment production, including Compact, Compact Series PLUS, Wing Series, and other application-specific Spicer configurations.

Dana uses a consistent part-numbering system in which a ReadyShaft part number is generally based on the standard driveshaft number with an “R” suffix. The ReadyShaft EZ-ID tool can help identify an appropriate assembly when the original part number is missing or unreadable.
