June 2026 Site Update

Truck Equipment Atlas continues to grow as we work toward building one of the most comprehensive online references dedicated to commercial trucking equipment.

As of June 2026, the site has surpassed 203 published pages covering commercial trucks, diesel engines, trailers, equipment systems, manufacturers, freight sectors, and educational resources designed for drivers, owner-operators, fleets, technicians, students, and industry professionals.

Over the past several months, development has focused on creating a structured equipment library that helps readers better understand the vehicles, components, and systems that keep freight moving throughout North America.

Current Development Status

Truck Equipment Atlas continues to expand across multiple equipment categories, with several major milestones already achieved.

Current project status includes:

The completion of the Engine Library Phase 1 milestone represents an important step in establishing a comprehensive engine reference section, while significant work continues across both truck and trailer content.

Engine Library Milestone

One of the biggest accomplishments during this phase of development has been the completion of Phase 1 of the Truck Equipment Atlas engine library.

The engine section now includes a broad range of diesel and commercial powerplant profiles covering heavy-duty, medium-duty, vocational, and specialty applications.

Each engine page is designed to provide specifications, applications, operating characteristics, ownership considerations, and real-world usage information to help readers better understand the equipment powering today’s trucking industry.

Truck and Trailer Expansion Continues

While the engine library has reached its first major milestone, both truck and trailer development continue moving forward.

Truck coverage continues expanding through additional truck models, manufacturers, vocational applications, and operating categories.

Trailer development has become one of the fastest-growing sections of the website and now includes coverage of numerous trailer types and manufacturers, including:

Additional manufacturers and trailer model pages are currently being added as the trailer library continues to expand.

Building a Complete Equipment Reference

Truck Equipment Atlas was created with a simple goal: build an organized resource dedicated to commercial trucking equipment.

Rather than focusing on trucking news, the site focuses on helping readers understand trucks, trailers, engines, components, manufacturers, and the industries they serve.

Every new page added helps strengthen the site’s long-term mission of becoming a valuable educational resource for the trucking community.

Coming Soon: Truck Stop Atlas

One of the most exciting future projects currently in development is Truck Stop Atlas.

Truck Stop Atlas will focus on truck stops, travel centers, and driver services throughout North America. The goal is to provide useful information about locations used by professional drivers, including amenities, parking, fuel options, food choices, driver facilities, and other services that impact life on the road.

Future plans include:

  • Truck stop directories
  • Chain profiles
  • State-by-state listings
  • Interstate corridor resources
  • Location reviews and field reports
  • Driver-focused facility information
  • Travel center reference guides

More information about Truck Stop Atlas will be shared in future Site Updates as development progresses.

Looking Ahead

Future development plans include:

  • Completing additional truck-library milestones
  • Expanding trailer manufacturer coverage
  • Growing trailer model libraries
  • Expanding equipment system resources
  • Adding additional freight-sector content
  • Publishing more manufacturer profiles
  • Developing Truck Stop Atlas resources
  • Continuing to expand educational trucking content

With more than 203 pages now published and new content being added regularly, Truck Equipment Atlas continues moving toward its goal of becoming a leading commercial trucking equipment reference resource.
