About the association
The Motor Transport Association of Connecticut is a member-supported statewide organization serving trucking companies and businesses that operate commercial vehicles in Connecticut. Founded in 1920, MTAC monitors state and federal legislative and regulatory activity, communicates issues that may affect members, and provides industry representation. The association offers training and seminars, business and insurance resources, industry information, networking opportunities, and a calendar of member events. Its membership includes traditional motor carriers as well as other businesses that use trucks in their operations, giving Connecticut companies a shared forum for safety, compliance, advocacy, and professional development.
