About the association
The Rhode Island Trucking Association is the state’s primary trucking trade association and the exclusive Rhode Island affiliate of the American Trucking Associations. Since 1931, RITA has represented owner-operators, fleet owners, private and for-hire motor carriers, and allied businesses. The association advocates on legislative and regulatory issues, promotes highway safety, distributes industry information, and provides educational programs, compliance-related services, member benefits, and professional events. Its work gives Rhode Island trucking businesses a collective voice at the state and national levels while supporting safer and more efficient commercial transportation.
